Na 20 skrzyżowaniach dróg krajowych w całej Polsce zostanie zainstalowany system NeuroCar RedLight. System NeuroCar RedLight rejestruje pojazdy wjeżdżające na skrzyżowanie na czerwonym świetle i wykroczenia te dokumentuje. Identyfikacja danych pojazdu odbywa się na podstawie odczytu tablic rejestracyjnych, komputer przesyła zdjęcia do Policji i Straży miejskiej.
W jakim celu to wszystko? Złośliwi z pewnością na pierwszym planie postawią napełnianie kasy państwa. Jednak urzędnicy zapewniają, że chodzi w głównej mierze o bezpieczeństwo. Abyśmy zamiast przyśpieszać "na pomarańczowym" zatrzymywali się. Unikając tym samym wypadku z udziałem pieszych czy zderzeń bocznych z innymi pojazdami.
Monitoring przejazdu na czerwonym świetle będzie kosztował ok. 6 mln 883 tys. zł a zacznie działać już od połowy przyszłego roku.
